It was a Wednesday stand-up. Fifteen minutes, every morning, the whole team. After the Trivandium trip, after the productivity numbers came in, after I watched each engineer become a small army, the stand-up started to feel like dead weight. Fifteen minutes where nobody was building anything. Fifteen minutes where the most common update was "Claude and I are working on X." The conversations got thinner. The questions got fewer. People were polite and efficient and gone in eight minutes.

I almost killed it. The math was obvious. Eight engineers, eight minutes of overhead, every single day. I had a tool that made coordination frictionless. Why burn the time?
