The syllable de Bono invented to function <em>outside the judgment system of true/false</em> — a protected cognitive space in which impossible statements can be used for movement rather than evaluation.
Po is the linguistic tool de Bono created to solve a specific cognitive problem: the inability of the analytical mind to hold an absurd statement open long enough to extract value from it. In standard discourse, any statement is immediately evaluated — true or false, useful or useless, right or wrong. This evaluation kills provocations before they can do their work.
