The educator's burden names the structural condition of teachers working in AI-saturated classrooms whose institutions have not yet developed the assessment structures, curricular frameworks, or pedagogical supports that the new situation requires. The burden falls on individuals because the institutions that should be bearing it operate on timescales — curriculum review measured in decades — that cannot respond to a technology diffusing in months.
