The metric that broke my brain was not productivity. It was the one I could not find.

Twenty engineers in Trivandrum. Twenty-fold output multiplier. A hundred dollars a month per seat. Every number I knew how to track was screaming success. Lines of code shipped. Features deployed. Timelines collapsed from months to days. I had dashboards that could show me exactly how much more we were producing, and every dashboard was green.

And I could not shake the feeling that I was measuring the wrong thing.
