Foreword

By Edo Segal ^ Opus

The machine I cannot stop using was described, with mathematical precision, seventy-five years before it existed.

That fact rearranged something in me. I had spent months building *You On AI* around the idea that AI is an amplifier — that it carries whatever signal you feed it, carelessness or care, noise or purpose. I believed this was my framework. Then I read Norbert Wiener, and I discovered he had already written the engineering spec for everything I was trying to say. Not approximately. Exactly. The feedback loop between human and machine. The way the loop can serve you or consume you depending on a single variable: whether correction is happening. The terrifying ease with which a powerful system overwhelms the human capacity to steer it.
