The machine understood me perfectly. That was the problem.

I was three weeks into writing You On AI, deep in collaboration with Claude, and I had just described a technical challenge in the messiest way possible — half-formed sentences, contradictory requirements, a sketch of what I wanted that would have made any engineer ask me to come back when I had a real spec. Claude returned a working implementation. Clean. Functional. Exactly what I had asked for.
