I spend my days building in a river that has been flowing for 13.8 billion years.
That river is intelligence. Not the human kind—though that's part of it—but the deeper pattern that runs from atoms organizing into molecules to molecules organizing into cells to cells organizing into minds to minds organizing into civilizations. A force of nature, like gravity or electromagnetism, that creates order from chaos and builds complexity on the foundation of what came before.
In the winter of 2025, that river found a new channel. Machines that could think alongside us, argue with us, create with us. Not replacing human intelligence but joining it, the way a tributary joins a river, changing the character of the whole flow.
