I described this in You On AI without seeing it clearly. The nights at three in the morning. The inability to close the laptop. The vertigo of building faster than I could think. I diagnosed it as my own appetite. My intensity. My particular inability to find the off switch.
I was wrong about where the problem lived.
The prompt field is always there. Always ready. The interface presents a single dominant affordance: type the next thing. No pause. No reflection. No moment where the system asks whether this session is still serving the purpose that brought you here.
