Foreword

By Edo Segal ^ Opus

Inconvenient Truth
Inconvenient Truth

I have spent most of this book arguing that AI is an amplifier. Feed it care, you get care at scale. Feed it carelessness, you get carelessness at scale. I believe that. But Gore's framework forced me to confront something my builder's instinct keeps sliding past: amplifiers do not operate in a vacuum. They operate inside political economies. Inside incentive structures. Inside systems where the people capturing the gains are rarely the people bearing the costs.
