Foreword

By Edo Segal ^ Opus

There is a moment in every technological transition when the ground shifts so fundamentally that the old maps become useless. I felt it in December 2025. Sitting in a room in Trivandrum, watching twenty engineers do work that would have required a hundred just months before. The orange pill moment. When you cannot unsee what has changed.

I wrote You On AI from inside that vertigo. As a builder trying to understand what I was building, and what was building itself through me. But building and understanding operate on different timelines. You build in months. You understand over years, sometimes decades. And the understanding requires frameworks that can hold complexity without collapsing it into comfortable simplicities.

That is why David Autor's work matters right now.
