It is one of the Oblique Strategies, a deck Brian Eno designed with the painter Peter Schmidt in 1975. Black-and-white cards with cryptic instructions, meant to be drawn at random when a creative process stalls. The instruction has nothing to do with music. It has nothing to do with technology. It asks you to shift your perspective — to see the problem from a position you do not occupy, through eyes that are not yours.

I have been pulling that card, metaphorically, every night for months. Sitting with Claude at three in the morning, building things I could not have built alone, feeling the vertigo of capability expanding faster than my ability to understand
